Improving Energy Efficiency

RPS has delivered Solar PV to 252 homes across Manchester on behalf of ForHousing through the Procurement for Housing  framework. The programme aim was to improve energy efficiency of homes, reduce electricity costs for residents and support ForHousing and their target to achieve EPC band C across housing stock by 2030.

Properties were chosen based on their energy performance with those with the lowest ratings being prioritised.

Delivery

Prior to works commencing RPS conducted surveys, completed roof suitability assessments and reviewed any technical restraints allowing us to advise For Housing on whether the property was suitable for installation.

Alongside the technical delivery we provided clear joint communications to the residents, keeping them informed of the process and how the system works ensured a smooth customer experience.

Future Proofing

RPS have installed Solar Panels with future battery compatibility in mind. ForHousing are also using a remote monitoring portal this allows them to check systems are operating correctly, estimate resident savings and reduce unnecessary engineer visits by diagnosing faults remotely.

Completion

RPS successfully complete the installation of Solar PV to 252 homes improving the energy performance of properties across Manchester while helping residents reduce their electricity costs and supporting ForHousings long term sustainability goals.
