Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Delivery Programme – Stockport Homes Group – Stockport

RPS Group is proud to present a successful partnership with Stockport Homes Group (SHG) under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave 1 Delivery program. Through competitive tendering, RPS secured the opportunity to undertake a comprehensive retrofitting project aimed at enhancing energy efficiency across 125 properties in Stockport.

The SHDF Wave 1 project aimed to address energy inefficiencies in social housing, aligning with SHGs commitment to sustainability.

RPS was tasked with delivering a range of Energy Efficiency Measures across the properties, including:

• Cavity Wall Insulation

• Loft Insulation

• The Design, Supply, and Installation of High Heat Retention Storage Heaters

• Ventilation

• Glazing

• Solar PV

• Dual Immersion Cylinders

• Thermostatic Radiator Valves

RPS deployed a dedicated team, comprising electrical engineers from the M&E Division and the Renewables Team, to ensure the successful execution of the project. With meticulous planning and efficient resource allocation, RPS managed the installation of Dimplex Quantum Series Heaters across 40 properties. Additionally, our Resident Liaison Officer was assigned to support residents throughout the process, fostering positive engagement and satisfaction.

Close collaboration with stakeholders and proactive project management contributed to the seamless delivery of the project within specified deadlines.

In addition to achieving energy efficiency targets, RPS demonstrated its commitment to value creation by leveraging resources to optimise efficiency and generate cost savings. Furthermore, RPS prioritised social value by recruiting a resident from SHG to join its compliance administration team, fostering community empowerment and economic inclusion.

Following the successful completion of the retrofitting project for Stockport Homes SHFD works, RPS Group have been awarded the Wave 2.2 SHDF scheme to undertake similar works. By delivering exceptional results while prioritising stakeholder engagement and value creation, RPS reaffirms its commitment to excellence in the construction and energy sectors.
