Every year NTC ask for donations of food, small gifts and festive goodies to try and support families who may be struggling over the festive period.
The appeal has taken on greater urgency this year because of the additional pressures caused by Covid-19 and once again, they were overwhelmed by the response as donations came flooding in.
North Tyneside Council have worked with organisations including VODA, the Bay Food Bank, Meadowell Connected, Family Gateway and their very own Prevention and Early Help Teams to make sure the items reach the boroughs less fortunate families in time for Christmas.
