Heating Replacement Programme – Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council – Wigan Borough

RPS Group are currently on site working with Wigan Council to undertake heating improvement works across their property portfolio.

Our client, Wigan Council, manages and maintains around 22,000 properties in approximately 120 housing estates in their borough, as well as owning properties through property development.

RPS has partnered with Wigan Council to undertake the Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council Heating Replacement Programme. The scheme will see over 6000 homes benefiting from new energy-efficient heating upgrades installed by RPS Group. We are proud to partner with Wigan Council which is making strides to ensure that its housing stock adheres to the highest standards of energy efficiency.

Full works include:

• Planned boiler and heating system replacement 

• Responsive boiler and heating system replacement 

• Responsive ad-hoc works

• Heating works including removing, storing, and refitting boilers 

As an integral part of the project, RPS Group is spearheading the installation of Ideal Boilers and Stelrad Radiators, offering cutting-edge heating solutions that merge modern technology with sustainable practices. 

This collaboration with Wigan Council is a testament to both of our values to uplift the standard of living for residents. By replacing outdated systems with energy-efficient alternatives, the scheme aims to significantly improve the comfort and efficiency of homes. However, this endeavour is not only about improving the comfort and efficiency of homes but also contributing to the growth of the community. The works will generate substantial social value and drive investment into the area through employment opportunities as RPS Group is actively recruiting and training local people, including providing a number of apprenticeships.
